It’s hard to beat a special dinner, and Dallas is chock full of memorable restaurants for the perfect romantic evening.

The Dallas Opera’s new production of Wagner’s masterpiece is dripping in betrayal, cheating, illicit love, and murder. See Das Rheingold, February 10-18 at the Winspear Opera House.
Another local fave is Hunter Sullivan, a regular at the famed bar at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. He’s scheduled to perform with his sensational band on Friday, February 11, playing sultry jazz standards such as “The Way You Look Tonight,” and “The In Crowd” in an extraordinarily intimate setting.
Designed for couples, Taste of Dallas is hosting a new Valentine’s-themed event in the impressive Frontiers of Flight Museum on February 11 (with afternoon and evening sessions). It could be something as simple as a heart-shaped pizza from chic Pizzana on Knox Street, or an upscale Italian dinner date at Dolce Riviera in the Harwood District, there are plenty of options before, during, and after Cupid’s favorite day of the year.
You might also consider a drink in the see-and-be-seen Rattlesnake Bar followed by dinner at Fearing’s on McKinney in the Ritz Carlton; or Le Bilboquet, which is also on Knox Street.
We also love Saint Ann’s, formerly a Dallas girl’s school, and the chic Sassetta conveniently in Downtown Dallas in the elegant Joule Hotel

National publications such as Fodor’s Travel, have tabbed it among America’s best spring flower festivals. Dallas Blooms is a certain highlight with its jaw–dropping display of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, pansies, poppies, and 3,000 azaleas. Leisurely wander the grounds of the lovely Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden from February 26 through April 16 on the shores of gleaming White Rock Lake and see nature’s magic unfold before your eyes.

Another interesting idea is Wildlike boutique, the brainchild of Alysa Teichman. She comes from a notable Dallas family of jewelry retailers and is enthusiastically pioneering her own styles with cutting- edge piercing that is fashionable and … fun! And while we’re at it, try the styles at Ylang 23, and Skibell Fine Jewelry at Preston Center in the heart of the Park Cities.
