What You'll Love in Uptown Dallas

With stunning condos, active communities, top-notch shopping and dining, and tons of job opportunities, life in Uptown Dallas is truly one-of-a-kind.

A Unique History

20 years ago, "Uptown" did not exist. In 1993, one of the first public improvement districts in the region was formed to unlock the development potential of the Uptown Dallas area. By adding a small tax to every property owner in this community, the Uptown PID was able to enhance public safety and security, improve public infrastructures, maintain common areas and well-lit streets, create pedestrian amenities and linkages that make Uptown one of the most desirable places in Dallas.

Thanks to these improvements, the Uptown community continues to attract more and more businesses and residents every year!

Local Shopping & Dining

Uptown is one of the most pedestrian-friendly areas in all of Texas. Everything from shopping and dining establishments to cultural and recreational facilities are only minutes away from your front door! As this vibrant urban community continues to develop, increasingly pedestrian culture continues to thrive.

Residents, commuters, and visitors alike traverse tree-lined sidewalks, from boutiques to historic attractions and their offices to the the gym.

Convenient Location

Whether you prefer the comfort of private or public transportation, you'll have plenty of easy options for both. Uptown offers quick access to U.S. 75 and Spur 355, and provides public transportation options including the McKinney Avenue Transport Authority (the M-line - it's free!), the DART Light rail, and even charming pedicab rides around the city.
