Remember the dramatic theme music in the movie classic 2001: A Space Odyssey? On April 11-14 the Dallas Symphony performs Also Sprach Zarathustra at the Meyerson Symphony Center. To open the concert, co-concertmaster Nathan Olson solos in Britten’s fiendishly difficult Violin Concerto, followed by the full orchestra hailing a primeval sunrise.

Fusing cirque acrobatics, classical dance and contemporary theater, the spellbinding Troupe Vertigo joins the Dallas Symphony for a world of artistic movement features the renowned Israeli performance group on April 19 and 21 at the Meyerson.


Since 2006, Dallas International Film Festival has become the place for storytellers and audiences to connect and experience film as a community. This year its scheduled for April 26-May 2.
