I keep my finger on the pulse of many things, including incredible entertainment, award-winning restaurants, seasonal festivals and more.

Here are more terrific options to fill up your smart phone. 

Their “Carry On Wayward Son” is one of the five most played songs on classic rock radio. And with a legendary career that spans five decades 50 years, Kansas has earned their fans’ enormous respect. See one of America’s iconic rock groups on November 16 at the Winspear Opera House in the Arts District.

On the same night, just down the street at the American Airlines Center in Victory Park, catch contemporary musician Doja Cat, a skilled rapper with a strong melodic vibe, a bold visual presentation onstage and the voice behind “Need to Know” and “Kiss Me More.”

Also on November 16, they’re dedicated to live shows with a blue-collar approach to touring. Gaelic Storm is a robust Celtic band that routinely travels the U.S. and internationally over 200 days a year. Catch their act at the Granada Theater on Lower Greenville Avenue.

The Downbeat Award winner and UNT jazz program grad Kara Walton shows off a fresh collection of tunes in the singer’s first full solo cabaret show, “Reused, Renewed, and Rearranged,” on November 16 at the Sammons Center for the Arts.

Is this mysterious final work, a farewell to the world? Dark and melancholy, with tumult and anguish to follow, plus a legendary waltz with an offbeat rhythm, Tchaikovsky’s Pathetique is stunning. It’s performed November 16-19 at the lavish Meyerson Symphony Center, one of the world’s great performance halls.

On November 17, three of the biggest names in Latin are on a co-headlining a winter tour playing years and years of sizzling radio hits. Feel the energy of Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, and Ricky Martin at American Airlines Center.

The Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies gets away with jokes that most comedians wouldn’t touch due to a unique ability to charm and offend just about any audience all at the same time. He’ll be onstage at the Majestic Theatre on November 17.

The red-hot band Lake Street Divehas serious chops and playful sensibilities and emerged as one of the most compelling voices in alternative folk. They’ll perform with Monica Martinon November 17 at Winspear Opera House.

Michelle Wolf is stand-up artist on the move. She’s worked as a writer for Trevor Noah and Seth Meyers, and hosted her own comedy show on Netflix. See her act at the House of Blues on November 17.

A favorite on the late-night talk show circuit, Canadian comedian Graham Kay has appeared in tons of TV shows, movies, and on stages around the U.S. He’s at the Dallas Comedy Club on November 17-18.

The installation “A Preservation Method” is a new exhibition based on artist’s Bianca Bondi research on the Highway Beautification Act of 1965, which was inspired by Lady Bird Johnson the former first lady’s environmental passions. It opens on November 17 and runs through March 17 at the Dallas Contemporary.

Jazz all-stars Loa Tizer, Nelson Rangell, Chieli Minucci, Anthony Crawford, and Joel Rosenblatt combine talents for an evening of smooth sounds on November 18 at the Bishop Arts Theatre Center in Oak Cliff.

Also, on November 18 at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Dallas it’s the Dallas Margarita Ball, one of the largest annual invitation-only black-tie charity galas, the event provides supports for thousands of at-risk children each year.

The award-winning British vocal ensemble Gesualdo Six is comprised of some of the UK’s finest consort singers. On November 19 they perform as part of the Tower Arts series at Highland Park United Methodist Church.

The songs and the moves of the late Michael Jackson come alive when Broadway’s event of the year unfolds before your eyes with songs like “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “Thriller” and many others. The Broadway Dallas production of MJ: The Musical in scheduled for November 21 through December 23 at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Be there or be square!

Feel Stravinsky’s vibrant colors and rich harmonies pulsing with fantastic effects, leading to a gossamer lullaby and a shimmering finale proclaiming a happily-ever-after. The Dallas Symphony performs The Firebird, November 24-26 at the Meyerson Symphony Center.

A beloved holiday tradition is filled with lacy snowflakes and delectable sweets, production  heralds the magic of the season with visions of enchantment and joy. The Texas Ballet Theater’s production of The Nutcracker comes to Dallas’s Winspear Opera House on November 24 through December 3 at the Winspear Opera House.

Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang is a fine musician who is building his own legacy. His band Mammoth WVH is scheduled to perform on November 25 at The Factory in Deep Ellum, one of only three tour dates in Texas.

On November 30, Andrea Bocelli returns to the American Airlines Center. Between classical and contemporary, the Italian tenor has sold millions of records, experiencing enormous crossover success bringing opera to the top of pop charts.

Regarded as one of the world’s great acoustic guitarists, Australian musician Tommy Emmanuel began playing at age 4, eventually gaining a reputation for a mastery of the instrument. His act must be seen to believed – November 30 at the Majestic Theatre.

Brimming with joyful songs, and magical spirits, Charles Dickens’ unforgettable yarn is a story of joy and redemption, all wrapped around the spirit of the holidays. November 30 through December it’s the award-winning Dallas Theater Center’s presentation of A Christmas Carol at the Wyly Theatre.
